Ignite Presentation

Become an ignite presenter

An Ignite presentation is exactly 5 minutes, and contains a limited number of slides (15 – 20) which advance automatically. It focuses on essential content, leaves the audience hungry for more, and leads to a more interactive discussion on the topic.

This exciting and dynamic new format will be a part of the rich content delivered at this year’s symposium, where together we will be advancing the research, teaching, and practice of learning engagement, volunteerism, community partnerships, and a host of other sub-domains.

The symposium committee is seeking “Ignite” presenters for the topics listed below:

  • Research-based Community Engagement
  • Community-engaged Teaching and Learning
  • Knowledge-driven Volunteerism and Community Engagement
  • Institutionalization and Mainstreaming of University-Community Engagement
  • Community-based Disaster Response
  • University-Community Partnerships/Impacts
  • Active Citizenship
  • Best Practices in Civic Engagement and Service Learning
  • Building Bridges and Eliminating Barriers through Learning Communities
  • Future of University-Community Engagement in a Global Environment
  • Empowering Students through Rigorous Academic Honors Programs
  • University-Community Engagement: Identifying Challenges and Proposing Possible Solutions
  • The Impact of Study-Abroad Trips on Learning Experiences
  • Changes Resulting from Action and Social Responsibility

If you are an expert in any of the above topics and you are stirred to be a part of this unique experience, we would like to invite you to submit your proposal now.
